Tamara K’s well-crafted article reveals a devious ruse of the US and so called HR entities – all western liberal backed.  While the West is busy telling us how dangerous China is, we are all distracted which allows the US and UN to quietly slip under the radar going about gathering intelligence on SL and interfering in Sri Lanka’s sovereignty which seems to count for nothing in the UN and US these days. Their ultimate goal is to drive Sri Lanka to the US side at the expense of China.

Swiss Power Plays: A Violation of Sovereignty

The recent dramatic events involving the Swiss Embassy came as a surprise to most Sri Lankans. Just as the large majority was looking ahead to a new era with a President they had just elected, a non politician with a simple lifestyle, yet a determined,man who who they believed would be capable of returning a sense of security, peace, economic development to their lives,  the shot came from a quarter they least expected. From a small country in the Alps known for its neutrality, chocolate, cheese and snow capped mountains.

War Deaths enumerated by Tamil-Speaking Government Servants during 2011 Census

In 2011, the Department of Census and Statistics carried out an “Enumeration of Vital Events” for the Northern Province of Sri Lanka. The Enumeration was conducted between June and August 2011, with field data being collected in July. The enumerators were Government servants from the Northern Province, all 2,500 of whom were Tamil and Muslim officials. Apart from the gathering of usual census data, the enumerators paid attention to the vital events that had taken place in the North from 2005 to 2009, with a particular emphasis on the deaths that took place in the last stages of the war.

Lord Naseby Clarifies Conservative Party Position on Sri Lanka …. Versus Corbyn’s Extremist Stance

Conservative peer Lord Naseby has issued a media release about the UK general election, addressing the confusion in the Conservative Party’s Manifesto where Sri Lanka is mentioned. This release also comments on the Labour Party’s position on Sri Lanka. 

Background: A significant controversy has arisen during the British general election campaign over the Conservative Party’s manifesto and its mentioning of a ‘two-state solution’ in association with Sri Lanka. In this regard, Conservative peer, the Rt Hon Lord Naseby PC has issued a statement. This trusted and long-standing friend of Sri Lanka is critical of the Conservatives for creating such confusion and fully understands the concerns that this error has caused amongst Sri Lankans everywhere.

Crisis in Syria – Implementation of R2P 

Introduction: This article discusses the criticism to the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and more specifically on the debate of its relationship to State sovereignty. This article is divided into four main parts: the first part discusses the background of R2P including its pillars and principles, the second part discusses the different understanding of sovereignty in the context of national and international relations, the third part explores the debates on R2P and sovereignty, and last but not least is the conclusion. Overall, I found that criticisms to R2P are mostly addressed to its imperfect implementation instead of its principles. I argue that the difference concepts of State sovereignty should not be contested each other. In addition, R2P should also be understood in a comprehensive approach by considering all pillars and principles.
