Zelensky Derided in Cartoon

An observer from a Georgian Black Sea resort town

“Ukrainian Cocaine”: This cartoon on Zelensky, purporting to be produced by French animators, and said to be circulating in Europe, depicts the “great war hero” as a drunk US puppet, snorting cocaine (which rhymes with Ukraine), feeding his people into the meat grinder, using Nazi-like thugs to forcibly conscript more Ukrainians for the meat grinder, and filling his case with wads of US dollars. The cartoon is rich in detail, for instance, the cubist painting of the Nazi hero Stepan Bandera in Zelensky’s office.

I understand the producers plan to expand this first offering into a series of anti-Zelensky cartoons… maybe eventually extending it into a full-length movie………………….

The American-IMF Monster Revealed in Dissection of Sarvanandan’s Reading of the World

X … [who, alas, has to protect himself from potential ‘hits’ from American and Aussie agencies] …. NB: the highlighting emphasis is my imposition

The Western template for stories on so-called predatory practices by China was crafted some years ago by former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US, UK and Australian think tanks. Sarvanandan is simply rehashing the same thing.

His claim to be offering a “factual cum reality check” is another misleading fact-reality check.

United Kingdom Condemned by HRW

A Statement from Human Rights Watch, 12 January 2023: “Human Rights Watch Issues Damning Verdict for UK. World Report 2023 Says UK Policies Raise ‘Grave Human Rights Concerns”

The United Kingdom government repeatedly sought to damage and undermine human rights protections in 2022, Human Rights Watch said today in its World Report 2023.   “In 2022, we saw the most significant assault on human rights protections in the UK in decades,” said Yasmine Ahmed, UK director at Human Rights Watch. “From your right to protest to your ability to hold institutions to account, fundamental and hard-won rights are being systematically dismantled.”

Babo: Blind Ice-Skater or Western Media Con-Trick?

Courtesy of elanka,  …..   https://www.elanka.com.au/babo-the-male-dancer-has-been-blind-since-childhood-doing-the-famous-tango-la-cumparsita-with-his-partner-at-the-world-figure-skating-championships-in-helsinki/

Babo, the male dancer, has been blind since childhood – doing the famous tango “La Cumparsita” with his partner at the World Figure Skating Championships in Helsinki

This is one of the most amazing performance in the history of skating, which brought tears to the 10,000 spectators present. Babo, the male dancer, has been blind since childhood. In a fire accident, his mother held him tightly in her arms and jumped from the 7th floor. His mother died, the little Babo became blind due to hemorrhage in his eyes and survived multiple bone fracture. His mother was an ice skater and Babo inherited that gene. Although he couldn’t see anything, he still pursued his passion enthusiastically. Here he is doing the famous tango “La Cumparsita” with his partner at the World Figure Skating Championships in Helsinki! His ears could measure the surrounding sound and distance like a bat. His female dancing partner is equally amazing. She danced with him so elegantly giving the sense of orientation and movements to her partner as if through telepathy so that even the most difficult synchronised movements kept perfect rhythm.

The Suriya Mal Campaign of the 1930s and Doreen Wickremasinghe nee Young

An Item at Roar.lk, where the title reads “We must remember Suriya Mal, even in this era of Manel Mal”

Doreen Wickremasinghe was a British leftist who became a prominent Communist politician in Sri Lanka and a Member of Parliament (MP). She was one of the handful of European Radicals in Sri Lanka.

Doreen & the Rodi lass she ‘rescued’

Doreen Wickremasinghe was the daughter of two British ‘ethical Socialists’. While a student in London in the 1920s, she became involved in the India League and carried out other anti-imperialist work. Here she met Dr S.A. Wickremasinghe, then a radical Sri Lankan moving in Communist and radical circles while a post-graduate student in London.

UNHRC Resolutions Display Blatant Double Standards

Fair Dinkum, with this sub-title “UN resolutions reveal the West is opposed to international democracy, while it tries to block attempts directed against racism and Xenophobia”

The UN Human Rights Council has just concluded its 51st session, adopting 41 resolutions and decisions. Examining the way countries vote on these resolutions reveals much about the hypocrisy of Western values, and that all their talk of democracy, equity, and valuing human rights is just meaningless rhetoric – a fact that can be observed in two important resolutions just passed by the UNHRC.

Power Balancing Moves in Asia: Displacing USA

Scott Ritter in Energy Intelligence, 9 September 2022, with this title “India And China Eye Asian Century”

As the world lurches through the growing pains of massive geopolitical change, the US’ relationship with India will increasingly take center stage. Washington likes to see itself as providing a geopolitical center of gravity that is inherently attractive to nations like India, especially against regional competitors such as China. As the US is about to discover, however, India and China have a shared ambition about who should dominate the Pacific in the coming century, and it doesn’t include the US.
