Here is a very serious discussion with Jeff Sachs. The world has a choice: survive or perish in the US-Israeli led Armageddon. The US and Israeli elites believe we have reached the end of the world, and that Trump, God’s chosen representative, has a responsibility to end the world, so all Christians can rise up into heaven to meet Jesus, and everyone else will descend into hell.
Sachs explains how Israel and the US are entering us all into a global crisis, unlike anything we have seen before, and sadly many pro-American Arab leaders across West Asia, by supporting Israel and the US, have facilitated this inevitable crisis.
This is not about Iran having nuclear weapons. It is about removing the government of Iran and bringing Mossad and the CIA back to control Iran, even if 500,000 Iranians have to be slaughtered in the process. After all, that’s what democracies do.
India has to stop trying to have one foot in BRICS and the other in the US. India has betrayed BRICS and Iran, and Russia is punishing India for that betrayal as India relies on 80% of its oil and gas from the Gulf and is turning to Russia again to fill its requirements.
Expect oil prices to rise to unaffordable prices, food to rise with significant food shortages. Air travel [costs] will also increase dramatically.
Trump and Netanyahu will not back down, neither will Iran, which means the war will escalate over several minths, and expand potentially into a world war.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has declared Turkey to be the new Iran, which means after Iran is destroyed, Israel and the US will attack and seek to destroy Turkey in the name of democracy, freedom, and all that crap.
Penny Wong and Anthony Albanese along with most Australian political elites are blind to what is happening, and Trump and Netanyahu’s goals and are caught up in Western propaganda.
‘A very serious discussion’? Really? So who are these ‘elites’ who believe in the end of the world?
This is an article appearing to identify a reason for the war. As if there could be any reason for Trumps erratic actions and this unnecessary war but if there was, the deaths of between 30,000 and 40,000 Iranian protestors and decades of financing and arming Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis might be candidates, not some weird American cult.
Your dismissal of these theological drivers as a ‘weird cult’ is dangerously naïve, David. It ignores decades of documented eschatology that has been mainstreamed into the highest levels of U.S. and Israeli power.
This isn’t fringe theory; it is organized political leverage. Groups like Christians United for Israel (CUFI) represent millions of voters who view the gathering of Jews in Israel as a biblical prerequisite for the ‘End Times.’ High-ranking ‘elites’ like Mike Pence and Mike Pompeo have cited ‘apocalyptic hope’ as a primary policy driver. This messianism is mirrored in the Israeli cabinet by ministers like Smotrich and Ben-Gvir, who claim a ‘Biblical license’ to reshape the Middle East.
More damningly, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation has received over 200 complaints from U.S. service members across 30 installations. They report U.S. commanders framing the war against Iran as a ‘divine plan,’ even claiming Donald Trump was ‘anointed by Jesus’ to trigger Armageddon. When Senator Lindsey Graham calls this a ‘religious war’ and Speaker Mike Johnson casts the U.S. as a divine protagonist, they aren’t being ‘erratic’—they are using sacred language to make political compromise a theological impossibility.
By framing the conflict in morally absolute terms of ‘Light vs. Darkness,’ these leaders ensure their base views any peace treaty as a betrayal of God’s will. Furthermore, while the tragic deaths of Iranian protesters are real, they are being weaponised by the CIA and Mossad to provide ‘democratic’ cover for a pre-planned regime change. This selective outrage conveniently ignores that Israel has killed over 73,000 Palestinians and wounded 170,000—a catastrophic reality that serves as the actual catalyst for Iran’s legitimate regional defence posture. To ignore how eschatology has been weaponised as statecraft is to miss the actual engine of this escalation.
To describe this as merely ‘an article appearing to identify a reason’ is a reductionist attempt to trivialise a systemic critique. This isn’t about hunting for a single excuse; it is about identifying the overarching grand narrative that drives these actors. When you ignore the prophetic and eschatological lens of those in power, you aren’t being ‘objective,’ David—you are simply missing the primary map they are using to navigate this conflict. Identifying this framework isn’t ‘guessing’ at a reason; it is observing the stated intent of the people actually pulling the triggers.
Do come along, David. You need to educate yourself on the facts as your parochial view fails to see the big picture. A more holistic view will help you see the importance and the wider impact of Sach’s perspective.
