Reaching Out: VANNI HOPE’s Aid to A Peasant Family in Lanka

Dear Friends, Relatives, and Well-Wishers,  ……“The Reason Someone Smiles Today”

As part of our continued mission to serve the communities in need within Sri Lanka, Vanni Hope is embarking on an ambitious project that seeks to bring economic stability and enhance the livelihoods of our people, especially those who have suffered due to the current economic hardships the island faces.

➢ There are doing agriculture. They have coconut, banana grove. They cultivate nut plants.

➢ Nagusami is the head of the family. He lost a hand due to an accident.

➢ His wife is housewife. They are taking care of their 3 grandchildren because they lost their daughter.

➢ Due to the poverty of their family, they have faced huge risks in doing agriculture and maintaining their family.

➢ They haven’t individual water facilities for the pursuit of their agricultureal tasks.

➢ So, they wuld  like to receive a tubewell to uplift their family livelihood.

➢ If they develop their work, they can earn sufficient money to nourish  their grandchildren and they can live happily.

  1. EMAIL COMMENT from Ex-SL ARMY, Hiran Halangode, 26 November 2023
“”Thanks for sharing the article Michael. I would suggest a low cost rainwater harvesting system as well. We have drought in many districts in the dry zone, whilst we have floods in the Wet zone. What a tragedy.
My sincere wishes go out to the Vanni Hope project. May it grow from strength to strength.
