Sri Lanka edge Bangladesh in 50-Over ODI at Chattogram on 15 March 2024

Michael Roberts

Located in Adelaide I followed some stages of the match in its digital verbal mode on ESPN … in intermittent fashion … till 1.30 am and only saw the final result today. Clearly, our praise must be extended to Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dilshan Madushanka and Dunith Wellalage in that order. But, of course, it was a team effort.

Dayan Jayatilleka in Blitzkrieg directed at Gothabaya’s Claims

Dayan Jayatilleka in Daily FT, 14 March 2024 where the title runs thus: “The Conspiracy: Gotabaya’s Mein Kampf could incite ethnic, religious conflict” …. also in Financial Times(?)

“the targeting of Catholic and Christian churches and churchgoers on Easter Sunday by Zahran’s group makes no sense whatsoever. There were never any issues between them. The “Christchurch, NZ” explanation makes zero sense.

“This attack was by a home-grown Islamist group not a group of alienated recent immigrants as in the West, or a multinational, cross-border, nomadic group like ISIS.

“There was a history of violent Islamophobia perpetrated since 2012 by militant Sinhala Buddhist organizations like the BBS, but no such targets were attacked in retaliation. Sinhala Buddhists were avoided and utterly uninvolved Catholics and Christians slaughtered instead. Where’s the motivation for suicide-bombers?

“Gotabaya is accurate about one thing: starting “end of 2021”, the prayer campaign and demonstrations by the Catholic community seeking justice for the victims of the Easter massacre formed the prequel to the Aragalaya which toppled him.”

China as Target of CIA’s Destabilizing Programme

Anonymous

Watch ….  https://www.youtube.com/live/2EZg8mPatv4?si=uzoFr0XBWGEqB5A0

Today, we learn what I’ve known for years: that the CIA have spent billions in spreading anti-China propaganda to stir up trouble in China and with countries dealing with China, thereby seeking to topple the government of China and destroy its economy. This propaganda campaign included pushing fake stories that the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative [BRI] was a threat to the world, that China would use the BRI to take over the world, that China would militarize ports they had built as part of the BRI, such as in Hambantota. It was all lies. It is now confirmed that Trump ordered the CIA to bad mouth China’s infrastructural projects, which has caused tremendous damage around the world, costing trillions of dollars to the US in damages, destroying relationships around the world, and for what?
