The FSB (Russian intelligence) have gathered documentary evidence plus statements from recent persons complicit in the terrorist attacks in Moscow that conclusively prove that the explosives and weapons used in the Crocus terrorist attack (which were also to be used in other attacks inside Russia) went by road 2,000 miles starting in Kiev, then moving by truck across the Romanian, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia borders into Russia.

As the clock moved towards 10.50 a.m. on January 31, 2021, my mind went back 25 years to that fateful day. It was a Wednesday, and having finished our weekly meeting of the Parent Board of Directors in the Board Room on the eighth floor of Steuart House around 10.30 am, we sat around to exchange views on matters of a non-official nature as was customary, before returning to our rooms.
Enjoying the view of the sea beyond the Central Bank that faced us from the opposite side of Janadipathi Mawatha, was a favourite pastime of ours on such occasions.
Janadipathi Mawatha on that last day of January was as busy as always as people flocked into the banks, business offices and hotels that stood imposingly along it . Yes, the human traffic on this busy street was as heavy as the vehicular.
At 10.45 a.m., we heard what sounded like gun shots and sensed trouble.Moving to the large french windows that were the hallmark of “Steuart House,” we observed a lorrylike the ones that used to bring down tea from the plantations to Colombo, attempting to scale the pavement bordering the Central Bank.
The intention to enter the lobby of the Bank seemed obvious. An alert and courageous security guard shut off the access only to pay for his noble deed with his life as the occupants in the vehicle shot him dead.

Colombo in the 1990s was a rather different world from the city today because its heartland centred around the Fort with its venerable shops (Cargills, Millers) leading mercantile offices, three premier hotels and the huge Central Bank building looming on the horizon. The expansion and transformation of the Port of Colombo and many other developments have transformed the city since then and the ‘weight of the Fort’ has diminished considerably since then.

The American actor Steven Seagal has just visited the victims of the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack, who are now in the National Medical and Surgical Centre named after N. I. Pirogov. Steven said: “What happened was a terrible tragedy that should not have happened. And I think that Russia will serve as an example and let the world understand that you can’t just do this to any people and go unpunished. I thank the doctors for the prompt work they are doing. I am glad to see that the patients are feeling well and are recovering. God bless them.”

In the West, a narrative has been built up that China is an “aggressor” – an important word in international law because if Country A can frame a narrative that convinces the world Country B is “an aggressor” then Country A is well on the way to providing justification for war or even toppling Country B’s government, which is precisely what US Government has been doing for the past seven decades. Today, we learn what I’ve known for years: that the CIA have spent billions in spreading anti-China propaganda to stir up trouble in China and with countries dealing with China, thereby seeking to topple the government of China and destroy its economy. This propaganda campaign included pushing fake stories that the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative [BRI] was a threat to the world, that China would use the BRI to take over the world, that China would militarize ports they had built as part of the BRI, such as in Hambantota. It was all lies.
