The Western Newspapers Vicious ‘Images’ of India’s Foreign Policy

“Archie  S‘… responding to  Items in THE AUSTRALIAN newspaper on the 17th Sepember 2025 entitled “Dangerous Optics for the Quad” and “India crosses the Red Line” with  the highlighting below [other than the blackened words] being impositions by The Editor, Thuppahi

The AUSTRALIAN newspaper is desperate to try and bring India under Western control. They hate the idea of neutrality. They hate countries being non-aligned. The assumption of this editorial, as with all articles published in the Australian, is that these conservatives possess a total intolerance of all other political and social systems outside of the West, and they believe that all countries can only exist and must exist in the image of the West, conform to its political systems and doctrines or be deemed a threat. The assumption here is that the West is superior to all other civilizations – the same idea that has existed for 500 years. It is this attitude that turns many leaders in the global south away from the West to organisations such as the SCO and BRICS, not to be anti-Western, but to pursue alternative pathways that offer fairer and better outcomes for their peoples, without threats of sanctions and tariffs.

PRESENTING HERE the original TIMES article ….

Guta Goldstein’s Holocaust Songs: A Spirit Undying

Jane Albert, in The Australian, 8 November 2024 …. where the title runs thus: “The Song that kept Guta alive during the Holocaust ….,”

It is often said that music has the power to heal and nourish, but for Guta Goldstein there were times in her childhood when music and singing were her only nourishment.

Totalitarianism Defined …. With Hitler as the Epitome of the Phenomenon

Richard Koenigsberg and the LSS, aka Library of Social Science, located in New York

Totalitarianism: the psychopathology is the identification, refusal or inability to conceive of a self in separation from society; of a self that does not exist in a symbiotic tie to the nation. “Symbiosis” is not an “infantile phase of development,” rather It’s the ground of our being the fantasy we are connected to something “out there” (and cell phones represent the apotheosis of merger of self with society).

Listen to Hitler: “Our Nation is not just an idea in which you have no part; you yourself support the nation; to it you belong; you cannot separate yourself from it; your life is bound up with the life of your whole people; the nation is not merely the root of your strength, it is the root of your very life.”

Hitler’s Embodiment of Nazism and Its Ideology of Nationalism

  7. The Hypothesis

The Nazi movement grew out of an ideology embraced and shared by millions of people. The actions of the Nazis grew out of their ideology: they enacted propositions or theorems contained within it. Here, I delineate the structure of Nazi ideology: a coherent fantasy that shaped the ideology and was the source of the energy invested in it.

Facing Hermon: Palestinian History 1918-to-Today’s Holocaust

Blackjack Bibi ….  see TPS Note at the end

I won’t comment on the Chris Hedges video. I was more interested in Dickie Hermon’s comment (see https://thuppahis.com/2023/12/19/chris-hedges-mea-culpa-on-palestine-for-the-westernworld/ ).

The first thing to be said is that it is unfair and unreasonable to insinuate that Hedges is a holocaust denier. It is wrong to suggest with a guess that he might be, and it is clear Dickie has no evidence to support that claim. He is on weak ground here.

Richard Hermon in https://thuppahis.com/2023/12/19/chris-hedges-mea-culpa-on-palestine-for-the-westernworld/

Michael, Please see my previous comments! on this subject .My position is clear These guys are “SPIN DOCTORS” putting their own spin on what they want to put across .in 1948 when Israel declared itself a state after the UN had given its approval and History states that the Arab nations all declared war on Israel and attacked it ,this Person states that the Zionists attacked the Palestinians ,at that point his veracity went out the window .I guess that he would also say that the Holocaust was Israeli propaganda.
with my warmest regards
Dickie HERMON

Alastair Crooke, the former British diplomat and longtime deeply insightful observer of Middle East geopolitics wrote in a recent commentary that Israel’s strategy under Netanyahu’s ultra-right-wing religious and nationalist cabinet is to maintain whelming public support for the twin goals of the destruction of the “Hamas regime and its capabilities” and the release of all Israeli captives in Gaza. The GAZA Clash & Its Ramifications: Fundamental Grounding …. A Sri Lankan’s Reading

A Sri Lankan in Brisbane … responding to my Thuppahi Question: Why did HAMAS launch an attack in Palestine [with implicit awareness of extreme Israeli retaliations] ? … with the highlighting in red being that of the Editor, Thuppahi and that in black being the author’s.

HIS RESPONSE

Dear Michael,

Israel has never been a country that abided by International rules.

Although the majority of Jews migrated to Israel from Russia & Eastern Europe, the British & US heavily back Israel because the wealthy Jews who fund US Congress are in the US & UK. The US Congress is beholden to these wealthy Jews for their election funding. In addition, almost all Arab countries are headed by corrupt US cronies, beholden to the $.

Sacrificial Devotion in Comparative Perspective

The LTTE emerged as an underground militant organization in May 1976. Though sustaining strong informal links with the Tamil United Liberation Front, the parliamentary party committed to independence, the youth who led the LTTE believed that a revolutionary path was the only route available to their peoples.

The pogrom directed against Tamil people living in the south central parts of Sri Lanka in July 1983 resulted in a huge expansion of its personnel. It was around this stage that Pirapāharan decreed that all fighters should carry a cyanide capsule—a kuppi as they call it in Tamil—so that they could “bite it” when imminent danger of capture was looming.
