Seismic Shifts in World Power Balance as Xi and Putin Consolidate Ties

Lakshman Gunasekara in Daily News, 21 May 2024, where the title reads thus: “China-Russia summit: pointer to world’s future?” …. with highlighting imposed by The Editor, ThuppahiMo

The sudden death of Iran’s conservative President on Sunday hardly stirred the world community’s focus on Gaza where humanity undergoes a shattering collective experience as never before. Iran’s 63-year-old cleric-President is understood to have died in a sudden, weather-induced helicopter crash while returning from an official programme in Iran’s far western borderlands near Azerbaijan.

An Insane World: Fico shot …. Blinken in Discoland

An Observer in a Black Sea Town  … with highlights being impositions by Thuppahi

Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico has been shot and is in hospital. His condition is serious. Interestingly, Sky News, without any evidence, suggested the assassination attempt on Fico was because he was good friends with Putin,  and because he was opposed to sending weapons to Ukraine, and was therefore “supporting autocracies against democracies”.

The UIGHURS: Their Political Backers Revealed ….

Theodore K

Why has the “Uygher genocide” narrative fizzled out? … …………..  AND why is it that  when a real genocide takes place in Gaza, the majority in the West is in denial?  It’s a fair question. These two guys discuss Xinjiang with regard to this line of questioning……………
A good point is made about the small band of Uyghers that are propped up by the US, who have come out in support of Israel: a bit strange, even amazing, given that the Uyghers are supposed to be Muslims.
It enables alternative narratives on what is happening in Gaza to be heard. These narratives undermine the official US government propaganda line on Gaza.

NATO & US Military Hardware on Display …. in Moscow

Observer in a Black Sea Town

A splendid massive exhibition of NATO/US/German/British tanks, armoured vehicles and other equipment captured on the front line is being held in Moscow. Australian armoured vehicles are included. Visitors are able to get free meals and employees of US, UK,German, French, Australian and Polish embassies are given priority access to inspect the captured NATO with a free bagel for each one. The exhibition runs for a month.  Prestige equipment of NATO countries is on show. Visitors from France and Germany were impressed by the exhibition as they wouldn’t normally get the chance to inspect military hardware in their own countries

The Global Contest for Influence/Power

Fair Dinkum

What is astonishing is that while China and Europe are doing trade to the tune of 783 billion, the US and NATO  are waging war to the combined tune of 500 billion. One is about construction,  the other destruction. One is about peaceful cooperation,  the other is about perpetual war.

The 500 billion from the US/NATO has all gone up in smoke with 500,000 dead Ukrainians and about 100,000 dead Russians (rough estimates), and the loss of Ukraine looming on the horizon.

The WEST: In Engagement in Two Contrasting Wars

Lakshman Gunasekara.  in Daily News, 30 April 2024, where the  chosen title is “Russia advances as NATO stingy wit Ukraine aid” …. with highlighting imposed by The Editor, Thuppahi

Ukrainians are realising with horror that their Western “allies” are de-prioritising their war with Russia as the Palestine war and West Asian flare-ups keep the Western power bloc focused on sustaining tiny client Israel. The United States alone has so far provided Ukraine with military aid worth US$ 44 billion since the Russian invasion of Ukraine but that is small compared with the West’s pampering of Israel.

Market Competition. Double Standards in USA … by … USA

Allesandra Galloni & David Lawler,  whose chosen title runs thus: Nothing off the table in US response to China overcapacity, Yellen says”… 26 April 2024

The Biden administration is not taking any options off the table to respond to China’s excess industrial capacity, which is a top concern for the U.S. and its allies, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told Reuters on Thursday.
China exporting its way to full employment is not acceptable to the rest of the world, Yellen said in a Reuters Next interview in Washington.
Yellen said that during her trip to China earlier this month, she was “successful” in raising U.S. concerns with Chinese officials about Beijing flooding global markets with electric vehicles (EVs), solar panels and other clean energy goods, threatening U.S. jobs. She added that Chinese officials acknowledge a problem with industrial overcapacity, but they needs to address it. Continue reading

Epitome of British Perfidy: Piers Morgan Laid Bare

Camel Rider **

Listen//See https://youtu.be/aelzcw0Q3QE?si=GyB80oZknUfG71Fk

When you see the level of stupidity, arrogance and incompetence, as part of a massive disinformation campaign coming from the British mainstream media today (as illustrated in this interview by Piers Morgan) we can have absolutely no confidence whatsoever in anything the Western mainstream media says. In this interview, Professor Marandi’s explanations were correct. His analysis of Iran’s response to Israel’s destruction of the Iranian Embassy was correct. Iran responded by mounting three interrelated operations.

Piers Morgan

P rofessor Marandi

The first was a Psychological Warfare operation. Here, Iran delayed their retaliatory strike by two weeks in order to sow fear among the Israeli population and to undermine confidence in the Israeli Government.
