An Observer in a Black Sea Resort
U.S. President Donald Trump wants countries to pay at least $1 billion to remain on the Gaza ‘Board of Peace’ beyond a three-year limit, according to the text of the body’s charter obtained by multiple media outlets (including the Times of Israel, Bloomberg and Reuters). Under the draft charter, participating nations are limited to three-year terms. To bypass these term limits and secure permanent membership, countries must contribute at least $1 billion in cash within the first year of the charter’s entry into force. While the White House has described reports of a ‘fee’ as misleading—stating the board simply offers permanent status to partners showing a ‘deep commitment’—the leaked charter specifically outlines the $1 billion threshold as the mechanism for earning that status.
You can read the Charter of the “Board of Peace” at the Times of Israel here,
The White House has reached out to dozens of heads of state, sharing the foundational documents for the so-called ‘Board of Peace’ to supervise reconstruction of Gaza. After circulating the Charter that laid out the board’s framework and term limits, invitations were extended to dozens of global leaders to serve on the panel.
The disingenuity and dishonesty of Trump to call his new international order the ‘Board of Peace’ which sounds a nice bubbly harmless term, but is anything but. The label is an equivocation, full of sarcasm and doublespeak. Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ is in reality a Board of War designed to bypass the UN and international law and to set Trump up as CEO of the entire world. The ‘Board of Peace’ is not focused on Gaza, but under the terms of the Charter, is free to operate in any country to achieve US imperial ambitions. Gaza is the excuse Trump is using to take control of the world.
Who is on this mickey mouse board? His family, goofy Marco Rubio, and the mass murderer of Iraq Tony Blair. These are criminals. Other leaders invited to join the mickey-mouse board are Turkish President Erdogan, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Trump boasted, ‘This Board will be one of a kind, there has never been anything like it!’
Any world leader joining this so-called ‘Board of Peace’ are puppets, used to give legitimacy to all decisions Trump makes. These leaders are foolishly buying into the ‘Peace Board’ because ultimately they will be complicit in every thieving murdering act authorised by CEO Trump.
The charter makes no specific mention of Gaza, fuelling speculation that Trump is seeking to create an alternative to the UN and extend its authority to other flashpoints. The Charter (which replaces the UN Charter) describes the body as ‘an international organization that seeks to promote stability, restore dependable and lawful governance, and secure enduring peace in areas affected or threatened by conflict,’ which is more doublespeak nonsense that means the opposite. The true goal is to give Trump authority over the world, and based on his actions to seize Greenland, impose its will on Venezuela, threaten to take control of Cuba, Colombia, Nicaragua, and Mexico, using lies and propaganda to justify their actions, gives a clear indication of what Trump means by “restore dependable and lawful governance’. He means governance entirely dependable on the goodwill of the US and is prepared to comply with US laws (not International Law). This type of insidious language which appears harmless, is actually extremely dangerous. He is putting all countries on notice. ‘Do as I say, or else’.
Here’s an example.
The US is attempting to prevent China from buying oil from Venezuela. While China is angry about US attempts to block Venezuela’s oil exports to China, it is not a major problem for China, as Venezuelan oil only makes up 4% of China’s oil imports—where China also imports oil from other markets, especially in Eurasia, where China imports oil from Russia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. How long will it be before Trump tries to force Russia, Malaysia and West Asian countries from selling oil to China by imposing sanctions and tariffs on these countries that trade with China?
Trump is demanding Venezuela only partner with US companies on oil production and favour the US on selling Venezuelan oil. Trump is attempting to force Venezuela to do whatever America wants.
The Trump administration believes it can economically suffocate Venezuela to force the Venezuelan government to meet all US demands. There is a term for this; it is Economic affixation. The US is trying to destroy the Venezuelan economy, holding the government hostage, to force Venezuela to comply with US demands. The US government is also trying to suffocate Cuba by blocking oil going to Cuba.
The US has imposed tariffs on every country in the world. The goal is to give countries the hope they can negotiate with Trump to get the sanctions and tariffs lifted. But once a country buys into that hope, that county loses sovereignty and is ensnared into America’s grip and surrenders control.
The US has imposed tariffs on every country in the world. The goal here is to give countries the false hope they can somehow negotiate with Trump to get the sanctions and tariffs lifted. But the moment a country buys into that hope, that county is ensnared into America’s grip and is on the fast road to becoming a US colony. The only way countries can avoid this trap is to avoid the US altogether, avoid trading with the US, and avoid links of any kind with the US. The US is not a trustable partner in any venture of any kind.
BRICS offers a better alternative. No country in BRICS imposes tariffs or sanctions, and no country in BRICS can interfere with any other member state’s policies or relations with other states. BRICS is far from perfect; it has a long way to go, but even at this stage of its evolution, it is a far better, far fairer system than the one offered by Trump or the West at the present time.
