Fellowship via Sport: A Gathering of Golden Sri Lankan Oldies from Yesteryear

This photograph was sent to me by one of those present with the following Caption: “Super array of the truly professional role model gentlemen of yester year at a Capri dinner hosted on 21st August by Selva Kanagasabai”

The CAPRI is in Kollupitiya Colombo and Selva was obviously visiting the island from Australia.

The gallery of personnel from left to right is as follows: Ken Murray… Malin Goonetileke ……. Jayantissa Ratwatte … Jit Wanigasekera …. S. Skandakumar …. Mike de Alwis …. Selva Kanagasabai …. Michael Tissera … Anura Gunasekera… Hemannath Wickremesooriya …. Dhyan Caldera … Asoka Herat …Devaka Wickramasuriya

PS: I was not partof this circle as such in the “good old days”, but got to know Selva through one of my bosom pals from Galle days, namely, Trevor Roosmale-Cocq (who, alas, passed way about 20 years back). I have faced Jayantissa at rugger and Mike Tissea at cricket when playing for Peradeniya Uni or Kandy Lake Club; but not encountered the others as far as I know.
