A Note from Mohan Sahayam in Brisbane, 14 May 2023:

Thanks Michael….. 1965 Great side and a bunch of fantastic guys. One person missing in this pix is Eric Roles. He was in Pulmoddai loading one of our ships: one which we were agents for at Hayleys. Both Eric & I worked for the shipping department and one of us had to go and he always put
his hand up as he loved the east coast and loved his Fishing.
😀😀
Eric Roles …. well before he went fishing

A NOTE from Michael Roberts, 14 May 2023:
This photograph is a memento that serves as a treasure. Tony Sirimanne is/was my nephew …. and a playmate in my younger days. He was struck down by heart failure in Sydney in 1981 after he migrated at some point in the 1970s(?). …. I was on sabbatical work in Colombo then. Needless to say, his mother Dodo, brother Guy, sister Ann  …. and I were devastated and inconsolable. It was the cruelest of blows.

I did have a close connection to late Hiranjan & Rohan.
Hiranjan Perera, a Josephian was with Colombo Commercials with Tony Sirimanne as a Special Apprentice and moved over to England and ended up as a well-respected Engineer in Air condition Systems if I am correct. He passed away in the Middle of the 80s.

Rohan Abeysundera, a Peterite & a gentle giant, a Planter, passed away a couple of months visiting his Children in Australia.

    I remember both very dearly.
May their Souls rest In peace.
