Nishan De Mel fronts up for SKAL

The 68th Annual General meeting of Skal International was held recently at the Ramada in Colombo and Travel Talk Asia Managing Director Sk. Dinushka Chandrasena, was re-elected President for the year 2022.  World Link Travels Managing Director Sk. Ahintha Amarasinghe continues as the Vice President.

The two new members inducted during the luncheon meeting were Serendib Hotels (a subsidiary of LOLC Holdings) Managing Director Shantha Kurumbalapitiya and Booking Whizz Sri Lanka Managing Director and former Managing Director of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Sutheash Balasubramanium. 

The Chief Guest at the event was Verite Research Executive Director Dr. Nishan De Mel,  an economist with extensive academic, policy, and private sector experience. He has been a Member of the Presidential Task Force on Health Sector Reform, Presidential Committee on Tobacco, Alcohol and Dangerous Drug Regulation, and the National Steering Committee on Social Security.
