Mevan Pieris … is a Thomian and Sri Lankan cricketer & a Science don ….

Mevan is the tallest guy in the back row of the 1975 Sri Lankan Cricketing Squad that toured England for the 1975 World Cup 

Mevan Pieris & Dennis Chanmugam carry Duleep Mendia after he had been felled by Australian speedster Geoff Thomson at the Kennington Oval in London  …. whle incoming batsman Anura Tennekoon looks on with heightened concerns

PS: It is perhaps more than happenchance that all four crickters in this photograph are Thomians…………………….
