AND

National anthem sung in Sinhala and Tamil even in 1949 ! it is not something new- herein is evidence…..

Lanka-e-News- 02.Jan. 2016, 9.45PM = Some  blind Sinhalese morons  have expressed their opposition to the national anthem being sung in Sinhala and Tamil at this year’s independence day celebrations. Perhaps, stupid nitwit Warnasinghe who arrogantly rides on his abysmal ignorance must be assuming that Sri Lanka (SL) secured its independence in 1948 owing to the intervention of the monk Soma Thera. Let these blind moronic Sinhalese be reminded lest they have forgotten, not only D.S. Senanayake , Sir James Peiris, Anagarika Dharmapala and  N.M., but even Tamil leaders Sir Ponnambalam Arunachalam, Sir Ponnambalam Ramanathan ; Tamil speaking Muslim leaders , T.B.Jayah and  M.C. Siddi Lebbe ; British national Bracegirdle; and  Burgher National Charles Edgar also led the struggle for SL’s independence.

Singing the national anthem in Sinhala as well as in Tamil at the independence celebrations is not something new. Even at the first anniversary independence day  celebration in 1949  the national anthem was sung in Sinhala and Tamil. Herein is a document which bears testimony.

This document was the invitation sent by the government in connection with the first year independence celebration. It is printed in English, Sinhala and Tamil, and the first language is English. Therein it is clearly mentioned that at this celebration that was held then at the Torrington square the national anthem shall be sung in Sinhala and Tamil.

Lanka e news and all its readers thank Mr. Dharshana who arranged to furnish us with this photograph. We would like to tell these ignorant moronic buffaloes to carefully preserve this photograph so that it would deter them in the future when they try to indulge in foolish tomfoolery and buffoonery without getting the facts right.
