A man who survived the October 7 attacks has described the moment he saw “blood gushing” from him after he was wounded in the Bondi Beachshooting. It is understood a Chanukkah event was the target of the attack, which police sources believe had been planned for months.

SeaHorses Off Sri Lankan Shores: Rare Finds

Sri Lankan marine researchers have formally documented the presence of the rare and Vulnerable Three-Spot Seahorse (Hippocampus trimaculatus) in Sri Lankan waters for the first time, an important milestone in the country’s marine biodiversity records.

The discovery was made through the examination of four dried specimens collected from fishermen operating off the southern coast near Madiha, nearly 150–200 km offshore. The evidence confirms that the island’s marine ecosystem hosts a greater diversity of seahorses than previously recognized.

Sensational: Young Vaibhav Explodes onto World Cricket Stage

Vaibhav Suryavanshi slammed a blistering 95 ball 171 in the Under 19 Asia Cup opener against UAE on Friday. He fell just six short of Ambati Rayudu’s long-standing India record in youth one-dayers – the 177 against England in Taunton back in 2002.

Suryavanshi, yet to turn 15, hit nine fours and 14 sixes during his innings, before being bowled attempting a paddle in the 33rd over of India’s innings. They eventually finished with 433 for 6 after being put in to bat.

Nitesh Samuel, a boy with a Sri Lankan heritage has been  selected to play for Australia in the Under 19 Cricket World Cup to be played in Zimbabwe👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Nitesh is an elegant batsman who scored heavily in National Competition to become the Man of the Series this year❤️ Nitesh studied in James Ruse which is an elite academic school and has entered medicine last year and gave up and took a year off to pursue his cricket!  ….    He is now entered at Actuarial in prestigious University of NSW👏🏻 It is a great determination and commitment to the cricket took him where he is👏🏻 Nitesh’s father Lal Samuel is a good friend of mine, was nationsl champion in Badminton in Sri Lanka and handy cricketer himself! Lal’s and mum Sharon’s sacrifices and efforts have paid off❤️ It is a very proud moment for every Sri Lankans living anywhere in the world❤️ Nitesh, you have done the hard yards and way to go son! The 6th of December marks the sixth solar cycle since my adored life partner, Dr Malwattage Josephine Sarojini Perera (née Peeris), left this mortal world. Six years have elapsed; a period characterised by a searingly perpetual heartache. However, her inspiring influence is not diminished by the passage of time, and her memory has become more burnished and sublimely potent. It has transformed from a painful void into a sparkling, indestructible legacy that fortifies the hearts of all who were privileged to share her path.
