Verité Research is an independent think-and-do tank based in Sri Lanka, dedicated to providing strategic analysis to drive transformative change. Through rigorous research, advocacy, and education, we tackle complex challenges with practical, actionable insights.

Our Story
Verité Research was founded in 2010 by Dr. Nishan de Mel as a think tank uniquely positioned to navigate Sri Lanka’s complex socio-political landscape. Initially focused on addressing urgent political challenges, we have steadily broadened our scope in response to emerging opportunities and evolving needs.
Today, Verité has grown into a dynamic, interdisciplinary research organisation with deep expertise in economics, law, media, and politics.
