Venezuelan social movements and political parties held a massive rally in Caracas on 4 January to reject the US military attacks against the country, and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro.
The Sunday march took place in the center of the Venezuelan capital and ended close to Miraflores Presidential Palace.
Demonstrators held handmade signs demanding the release and return of Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, who were abducted in the early hours of 3 January by a team of US special forces, resulting in the cold-blooded murder of 32 Cuban security and intelligence officers, who formed Maduro’s personal security team.
US forces also bombed several military sites in Caracas and surrounding states. Venezuelan authorities have yet to report on damages and casualties, with unofficial sources claiming at least 80 people killed.

Yesterday evening, I was watching the monologue of Trump’s nemesis Jimmy Kimmel. He pointed out a fact, that Trump has a fetish for Venezuela. During the years he and NBC co-owned Miss Universe paegents from 2002 to 2015, among the Miss Universe contestants chosen for the Crown, FOUR were from Venezuela!
This is what I had indicated previously in a recent comment – the selection were chosen by the Sponsors of the Paegent ahead of time. In this case, moneybags of American oil industry might have influenced Trump, to chose ‘Venezuela beauty’ for the crown.
