| Thank you for the incredible support you have shown since we launched our Cyclone Ditwah Emergency Appeal. We were truly overwhelmed by the response, raising over $30,000 in 48 hours. Your generosity allowed our teams to move quickly during what has become an unprecedented national disaster, affecting communities across every province in Sri Lanka for the first time in recent history.
Thanks to your support, more than 1,370 families have already received essential relief. This includes 107 pregnant women who required urgent assistance. Our dry-ration packs included rice, dhal, sugar, flour, biscuits, tea, canned fish, soya meat, sanitary items, paracetamol, ORS, water purification tablets and more. Tarpaulin and rope were provided where homes were damaged.
Phase 1 of our emergency response is nearing completion, reaching families across the Central, Eastern, North Central, Northern, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces. Our teams have also assessed destroyed homes for potential rebuilding and reviewed damaged water access points.
However, the scale of destruction across the island is far greater than what immediate relief can address, which is why Phase 2 is urgently needed. |

|
| As the situation stabilises, communities now face the long process of rebuilding their lives. Phase 2 focuses on expanding our food relief to more regions, early recovery and long-term restoration, including repairing homes, restoring water access, assessing damaged schools and providing learning materials to children who have lost everything.
To support this expanded work, we have extended our goal on the Emergency Appeal page with an estimated 3,450,000 LKR additionally required to provide an 600+ food packs and more.
There is still a long road ahead, and your support remains vital as we reach more families and help communities recover with dignity and stability.

| 1,370+ families have now received essential support through our Cyclone Ditwah emergency response, including 107 pregnant women who required urgent assistance.
Each dry-ration pack was carefully prepared by our team to ensure safety and included:
Tea, Rice, Dhal, Flour, Sugar, Biscuits, Soya meat, Canned fish, Paracetamol, Fire match box, Sanitary napkins, Water purification tablets, and ORS.
These items were selected to meet the basic food and household needs of affected families.
Where required, tarpaulin and rope were also provided for homes with damaged roofs.
Clothing donated by overseas supporters is currently on the way and will be distributed on arrival.
Phase 1 of our emergency response is now complete. This included immediate relief across multiple districts and rapid support to vulnerable households.
We have already assessed over 25 destroyed homes for possible Shelter for Life rebuilding, and water access points have been reviewed for potential Water for Life initiatives based on community needs.
So far, our assistance has reached families across Central, Eastern, North Central, Northern, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces.
Phase 2 begins now. This stage focuses on expanding to more regions, supporting families through the early recovery period, and planning for long-term rebuilding.
This includes repairing homes, restoring water access, assessing damaged schools, and providing educational materials to children who have lost their books and stationery.
There is still a long road ahead, and your support is truly appreciated.
