Please allow me to provide a cynical view on the last sentence ‘The actual results will depend on the candidates’ final performances during the pageant.’ Really?
Even in horse races, one can easily predict that the results depend on the performance of any horse, on a particular day at a particular time. But, this is NOT so, for women beauty contests. The results are pre-decided on the preferences of sponsors of the competition, who wish to promote their beauty products and paraphernalia to the consumers of a particular country. This has been the reality.
