Observer at a Black Sea Port
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has told China’s Foreign Minister that “Ukraine is ready and willing to engage in dialogue and negotiations with Russia” that leads to a permanent settlement.
Kukeba is in China to secure their help in future negotiations with Russia. Kuleba said the negotiations should be rational and lead to a permanent end to the war.
There is no mention of NATO, the US or UK being involved, but they can’t be happy at the possibility of peace breaking out in Europe and that China has been approached by Ukraine to set it up.
Putin has responded favourably saying Russia would like to sit down with the Ukrainian leadership and chew over a deal that leads to a permanent peace settlement. Ukraine has to be neutral, not join NATO, and surrender territory Russia has already gained.
