I have limited knowledge about the administrative forces upholding SL crccket today and do not even know WHO constitute the Selection Committee. From my distant post in Adelaide Australia I have watched some of the Test cricket . It has been a pleasure to see the manner in which Sonal Dinusha batted against a formidable Indian bowling attack. He is, clearly, a sturdy force and it remains to be seen how he fares on foreign pitches.

I gather that Kusal Mendis is injured and not available for Selection. While his replacement Dickwella scored a century at Galle, his two failures at the SSC match raise questions as to his suitability. Again, skipper Dhananjaya de Silva, had an ordinary set of four innings and there must be questions about his spot in the side.
I find it intriguing that Wanindu Hasaranga, Theeksana and Dausn Shanaka are playing short-orm cricket in the Caribbean Cricket League at this moment. while the latter two may not be considered Test match players, Hasaranga surely is? I would like to have reader opinion on this question!…… followed by information on the processes which released potential Test players to chase money and fame in short-form ventures
