This tactical leverage likely explains why these nations did not respond militarily to recent Iranian attacks on U.S. regional bases. Sana’a has also offered a conditional truce to Saudi Arabia, promising not to target its ports if the Kingdom stays out of any U.S.-Israeli military alliance.
According to Houthi official Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, the Yemeni armed forces will only target Islamic countries that participate in attacks on Yemen. He emphasized that their presence in the Red Sea aims to neutralize military threats against Islamic nations, particularly Iran.
